Admissions Criteria September 2019

The Governing Board of Hinchley Wood School has recently consulted on proposed arrangements for entry to the school in Years 7-11 and the Sixth Form for September 2019 as determined by the School Admissions Code and the School Admissions (Admission Arrangements and Co-ordination of Admission Arrangements) (England) Regulations 2012.  The Governing Board would like to thank all parties for taking the time to respond to this consultation.

The Governing Board has considered all the responses to the consultation process and has now determined admission arrangements for September 2019.  The proposals relating to:  Exceptional Circumstances; introduction of criterion giving priority to children of staff (Years 7-11 and Sixth Form); Entry Requirements to the Sixth Form for Internal and External Students have all been adopted without change.  However, the proposal relating to delaying re-ranking of the Year 7 waiting list has NOT been adopted and current arrangements will remain in place.  The following documents are available by clicking the links below:

The Governing Board are keen that all parents and other stakeholders understand the rationale behind the decisions made and have issued a statement which is available by clicking the link below:

Any objections to these arrangements must be referred to the Office of the Schools Adjudicator (OSA) by 15 May 2018.  Further information on how to make an objection can be obtained from the OSA website - click here
