PUNCH -  Drama staff and students at HWS were wowed by this 5* performance. Yr 10 to 13 Drama students experienced the captivating, heart-rending and tragic story of Punch at the Apollo Theatre. The exhilarating and thought-provoking production left us all moved beyond words.

The Phantom of the Opera treated Hinchley Wood Sixth Form to a phenomenal performance of the iconic musical this week. Students were wowed by the incredible performance and production qualities, followed by an incredible technical demonstration and Q&A with the Cast and Crew.

Today, we were thrilled to welcome Year 6 pupils from TDJS for our Festival of Languages! HWS students led a fun-filled carousel of languages — from learning school subjects in Spanish and animals in Japanese, to months of the year in Arabic and food and sport in Italian!

Last night 50  amazing Year 8 students took on the challenge of a lifetime! Inspired by the  annual SleepOut, they swapped their warm beds for cardboard boxes and a night under the stars to experience life without a home.

About the Curriculum

Hinchley Wood School offers a rich and stimulating curriculum. We deliver the Key Stage 3 curriculum in Years 7-9 with students studying a broad range of subjects before they begin their Key Stage 4 GCSE choices in Year 10.  Our Sixth Form curriculum offers 26 A level subjects as well as enrichment and student leadership opportunities. The school operates a two week timetable.
