PRE visit: excellent exhibition at the Galicia Jewish museum followed by student workshops and a meeting with an Auschwitz survivor, a former child prisoner who was a subject of Dr Mengele's experiments, who told us about her story and showed us her number tattoo. PRE visit: back at the hotel after nearly 16 hours out. Mr B's gadget says we have walked 11.1 miles, Mr C's says 11km. In any case it's been a good but hard day. Musical Opportunities

HWS ‘Majestic Brass Quintet’

The College has its own resident group, the Majestic Brass Quintet, whose members run a series of brass workshops throughout the year.  They are professional, performing musicians who pass on their enthusiasm for music and playing an instrument to the whole school.  Workshops include AS Level composition, Christmas Brass Band workshop, new Year 7 Induction Day, Music and Science, Music and Maths, they also work with our local primary schools.

HWS Student Opportunities

Students at Hinchley Wood have the opportunity to take part in a wide range of extra curricular musical activities.  They also work with professional musicians on a regular basis and are inspired by industry professionals.  Visiting artists include Lin Marsh, The Big Shake Up (formerly Bad Ass Brass), Charles Court Opera, Tor Cesay, Faith SFX, Twing Twang, DJ Workshops, The London Samba Company andThe Royal College of Music.
