The House System
The House System at Hinchley Wood School
We have four houses at Hinchley Wood School, Hawking, Frank, Nightingale and King - all named after inspirational people. Membership of the houses is divided across the tutor groups and all years groups within the school. The aims of the house system are:
- To give students opportunities to challenge themselves in new pursuits
- To enable students to work with different people across the school
- To develop new skills such as leadership
- To recognise and celebrate students’ achievements over and above their academic studies
