Our Year 10 students recently visited Kew Gardens as part of the preparation for their GCSE Art and Textiles coursework. The trip provided a fantastic opportunity for them to gather first-hand inspiration on the theme of Organic Forms, which is the basis of their first unit of work.
Throughout the day students used their sketchbooks and cameras to capture drawings and photographs in the beautiful surroundings of Kew Gardens. They also worked with a range of dry drawing materials to record textures, patterns and natural forms.
The group enjoyed a full day exploring the gardens before returning to school. It was a highly productive and inspiring visit.
