It was a bright and breezy day for our Year 13 Geography students, who headed to Climping Beach on the south coast for their Non-Exam Assessment (NEA) fieldwork. Working in small groups, they gathered valuable data on beach profiles and sediment analysis, showing great teamwork and attention to detail throughout the day.
The students also had the opportunity to chat with local residents about coastal management and the challenges faced by seaside communities — adding real-world context to their studies. In a delightful twist, the group even attracted the curiosity of a friendly seal, who popped up several times to see what all the excitement was about!
All in all, it was a hugely successful trip, and the Geography department is eagerly looking forward to seeing the insightful NEA investigations that come from the day’s work.
