Our students in Years 9, 10, and 11 had the privilege of hearing from guest speaker Joshua Coombes, and his visit was nothing short of inspiring.
One day in 2015, hairstylist Joshua took his scissors and clippers out of the London salon where he worked. He stopped to speak to a man who lived on the street nearby and ended up giving him a free haircut while they chatted.
A confident and engaging speaker, Joshua shared a powerful message about the importance of giving back and showing kindness. His passion for helping others shone through as he spoke from the heart about his experiences and the impact of small acts of care.
Students connected deeply with his message, particularly as Joshua related his work to our own school initiatives — including our partnership with Rentstart. His talk encouraged students to reflect on how they can make a difference, both within our school community and beyond.
