Year 7 rounded off their first half-term at HWS in spectacular style with an ambitious and uplifting Singing Showcase! The event was a true celebration of creativity, teamwork, and musical talent — and what an afternoon it was!
Parents and carers packed the hall to enjoy a vibrant selection of songs the students have been perfecting in their Music lessons. Performing confidently together as a full year group, they filled the room with energy and harmony, bringing pop favourites to life like Gary Barlow’s Let Me Go and Adele’s Rolling in the Deep.
A particular highlight of the showcase was a rendition of Phil Collins’ Another Day in Paradise, performed with heartfelt emotion to support Rentstart, the chosen HWLP Charity for 2025/26. The performance came on the same day that 50 Year 8 pupils were taking part in our very own SleepOut.
The showcase was bursting with confidence, joy, and a sense of community spirit. Students wowed the audience and earned thunderous applause; what a fantastic way to end a busy and creative half- term in Music — bravo Year 7!
