Careers Education at Hinchley Wood School

At Hinchley Wood we want our students to fully appreciate the ever-changing world of opportunity and possibility and promote the wealth of jobs and education available to them once they leave school. We believe that giving students the best careers education and guidance is vital to improving their motivation to learn and to help them achieve. We work hard to ensure that all of our students have the opportunity to make informed decisions about their future, and in so doing we encourage them to make the most of their talents.

We are committed to providing a well-structured careers programme for all students in year 7-13. This includes integrating careers into the curriculum throughout each of the key stages. We ensure that students have high quality impartial advice on career opportunities and that they are guided and supported to progress onto appropriate courses or employment on leaving the school. It is very important to us to know that all leavers, whether at the end of year 11 or year 13, have an appropriate plan in place for their next step.
