School Development Fund - Parent/Carer Support
We are incredibly grateful for the support we receive from so many of our parents/carers, but if you do not currently offer the school financial support, one way you can make a huge difference to the school is through making regular contributions to the Hinchley Wood School Development Fund (“Fund”). Click Here for more details.
This request comes at a time when all school budgets are under increasing pressure. Indeed, HWS is only receiving a 0.29% increase in funding per student head for 2025/26.
What is the Hinchley Wood School Development Fund?
A Fund administered by Trustees who operate independently to the school and who distribute funds to the school exclusively. It provides funds for school facilities that cannot be covered out of government funding. Previous purchases by the Fund include: school minibuses, new tennis court, playground canopies, playground benches nd tables, bike sheds, new drama studio, gym equipment etc.)
Is making a contribution compulsory?
No – any contribution is completely voluntary. This scheme is only for people that are able and wish to make a contribution.
How can I make a contribution?
You can set up a regular standing order for monthly contributions to the Fund, or if you prefer, make a single one-off payment. The following link will enable you to set up a contribution online: [insert link]
How much should I contribute?
For those who are able, we would ask for a voluntary contribution of £15 per month per child. Some contribute more and some less - every pound really does count. If you are already making a contribution and feel that you are able to increase the amount you currently donate each month, please send an email with the proposed amendment to Andrea Cheeseman at acheeseman@hinchleywoodschool.co.uk
Thank you for your understanding and support for the students of Hinchley Wood School.
