Examples of Work
History:
This year marks the centenary of the founding of the Royal British Legion (RBL). The RBL is a charity dedicated to supporting war veterans as well as serving members of the armed forces and their families. It most well-known for its poppy campaign, which has become synonymous with remembrance. Elmbridge Museum recently approached the school and asked for contributions from students for possible inclusion in a display they are putting together to mark this event. Some superb examples from students are featured in the gallery at the bottom of this page. We hope to continue to work with Elmbridge Museum on this, and other projects next academic year.

English:
Each term, the English teachers marvel at the writing many of our HWS students craft in lessons. We therefore decided that this creative writing needs to be shared with a wider audience than just the teachers. Edited by our Sixth Form Editing Team, here you will find a variety of pieces which showcase the talent we have at HWS: creative dystopian stories; stories inspired by images; opening chapters to detective stories; Gothic creative writing; films reviews; provocative speeches and persuasive opinion pieces, all crafted by our students.
