Our Sixth Form politics students recently enjoyed a lively Q&A session with local MP Monica Harding, discussing key issues such as the recent Labour budget, sewage in local rivers, the impact of the American election on the UK, local housing challenges, and the rise of the Reform Party.
Monica also shared her passion for policies she is championing, including improved support for teenage mental health, abolishing the two-child benefit cap to combat child poverty, and introducing a proportional representation voting system.
She encouraged students to actively engage with political parties and looks forward to returning for another discussion with the wider Sixth Form in the near future.
