Wellbeing Wall Launch - The Grace Dear Trust

Following the completion of our Wellbeing Wall in the canteen, on Wednesday 14th May, we officially declared the wall open and invited Graham Dear and Hope Trafford-Dear to cut the ribbon in celebration of its completion. Graham and Hope are the founders of The Grace Dear Trust, who financed the project and were instrumental in the planning and installation of the wall.

Students also played a pivotal role in contributing ideas around the concept of The Grace Dear Trust’s motto, "It's OK not to be OK." Weeks of planning followed, with the end result comprising 15 wall panels spelling out the motto. Within the panels are inspirational messages of help and hope to support mental health within the school. The canteen is an ideal venue for the project, as all students have access to the area. The overall message is visible from afar as you enter the canteen, while the individual panel messages can be read and reflected on as students queue for food.

Our heartfelt thanks go to The Grace Dear Trust for providing the school with this inspirational piece of wall art and for all the support they continue to give to our school.
