✨ A special farewell ✨ This week, some of our Year 7 girls returned to their primary school, Long Ditton St Mary’s, to attend the Christmas concert and wish their former music teacher well as she begins a new adventure. It was a truly lovely send-off for Mrs Headley 🎶💛

9JB held a brilliant bake sale at break on 12th December to fund the Year 9 Senior Tea Party we’re hosting in February. All proceeds will help us welcome senior citizens from Hinchley Wood for an afternoon of tea, treats and company. They raised an incredible £135.20! 🌟

A gutsy performance from our U18s in the National Bowl Quarter Final at Clayesmore. After going 19–0 down, the boys fought back with two brilliant second-half tries (including a full-length breakaway from Ralph M!) but narrowly missed the comeback, finishing 19–10.🏉✨

A Level Results 2025

A Level Results 2025

We are so proud of our Year 13 students who have achieved an excellent set of results this summer, continuing to beat national figures.  It was a busy morning in the Sixth Form as students eagerly opened their envelopes, with tears of joy, as well as some relief. These positive results reflect the hard work and resilience of our students. Over 30 members of staff were at school this morning to support and celebrate with students, which demonstrated once again the expertise and guidance they have offered the Year 13s during their time at Hinchley Wood School.

We are delighted to report our headline A Level results:

  • 99.8% of grades were A*- E (97.5% nationally)
  • 85% of grades were A*- C (77.7% nationally)
  • 62% of grades were A*- B
  • 32% of all grades were A* - A  (28.3% nationally)
  • 10.3% of all grades were A*  (9.4% nationally)

A few individuals to highlight are:

  • Hafsa B, Frankie M and Cai W who achieved 3 A*s.
  • Oliver H, Toby K, Sara M, Martha M, Jack P, Haaniya R, Benjamin R and Orson S who all achieved 2 A*s and 1 A.
  • A further five students who achieved 1 A* and 2 A grades, and 6 students with 3 As.
  • James P who gained a sought-after Level 6 Apprenticeship with Amazon.
  • Hasfa B, Sophie A and Alice A who have secured their places to study Medicine.

74% of students have secured their first choice place at university and 16% of students have secured their insurance place, as students confirm their decisions this will be updated.

Congratulations to our wonderful Year 13 students on their excellent A-level results. These results are a testament to their efforts, hard work and dedication over the past two years, and we are very proud of them. It has been a genuine pleasure to watch this brilliant group of young people grow and develop, and we wish them all the best in their next steps.

Mrs Brown - Co-Head of Sixth Form

We will publish the results in more detail in due course.
