Posted on: 21/08/2025Spectacular GCSE Results at Hinchley Wood School!
We are absolutely thrilled to share our GCSE results which students received this morning – they really have hit gold with a truly fantastic set of results, with school records broken!
- There are so many fantastic headlines to highlight:
- A record-breaking 51% of all grades are Grade 7 and above (23% nationally)
- 33% of all grades are Grade 8 or 9 (again, a record for the school)
- Another school record: 234 grade 9s and 12 9-9 grades in Combined Science – last year this was a record for the school at 174!
- 88% of students achieved 5 or more GCSEs including English and Maths.
- 92% of all grades are at Grade 4 or above (70% nationally)
There are so many amazing individual achievements and here are just a few:
- Rebecca P who gained nine Grade 9s
- Eva E, Stanley H, Isla P, Sophie V who gained eight Grade 9s and one Grade 8.
- Sofia I and Luke N with seven grade 9s and two grade 8s.
Under the leadership, care and guidance of the Key Stage 4 Team and the expert teaching from our staff, this ‘golden’ year group rose to any challenge they faced, embraced every opportunity offered to them and showed us exemplary attitudes in every way. A heartfelt thank you to all of our staff for their hard work and dedication as they guided and supported the students throughout their GCSEs.
