PUNCH -  Drama staff and students at HWS were wowed by this 5* performance. Yr 10 to 13 Drama students experienced the captivating, heart-rending and tragic story of Punch at the Apollo Theatre. The exhilarating and thought-provoking production left us all moved beyond words.

The Phantom of the Opera treated Hinchley Wood Sixth Form to a phenomenal performance of the iconic musical this week. Students were wowed by the incredible performance and production qualities, followed by an incredible technical demonstration and Q&A with the Cast and Crew.

Today, we were thrilled to welcome Year 6 pupils from TDJS for our Festival of Languages! HWS students led a fun-filled carousel of languages — from learning school subjects in Spanish and animals in Japanese, to months of the year in Arabic and food and sport in Italian!

Last night 50  amazing Year 8 students took on the challenge of a lifetime! Inspired by the  annual SleepOut, they swapped their warm beds for cardboard boxes and a night under the stars to experience life without a home.

The Senior Maths Challenge for Years 12 & 13

All our Year 12 Maths students and Year 13 Further Maths students took part in the Senior Maths Challenge just before half term. The competition features 20 multiple-choice questions designed to stretch problem-solving skills well beyond the standard A Level curriculum.

We are delighted to be able to share with you the news that our students collectively earned 5 Gold, 13 Silver and 32 Bronze certificates. Congratulations to Josh H, Ben C, Felix L, Robert K and Tanisha T, who have all qualified for the next round.

A special mention goes to Josh H, who was just one mark away from selection for the prestigious British Mathematical Olympiad — an incredible achievement and part of the pathway to international mathematics competitions!
