Following a very successful inaugural Sixth Form Greece Water Sports trip last year, another 80 Year 12 students flew to Athens during the May half-term.
The group was based at a sports camp in Loutraki, near Corinth, where the students spent a few days kayaking, paddle boarding and snorkelling at the Vouliagmeni cove and lagoon. A stunning spot for water sports and beach volleyball.
With a whole boat to themselves they headed out to the island of Aegina for a spot of shopping and lunch, followed by a short boat ride to another island called Agistri. On the way they were joined by a dolphin pod, which was just breathtaking.
The final day was spent wandering around the ancient city of Athens, including a guided tour of the Acropolis and a traditional Greek Taverna lunch accompanied by an authentic bouzouki music band.
Despite knowing that the weather in the UK was slightly warmer than Athens (!), a brilliant time was had by students and staff alike.
