Hinchley Wood School was delighted to welcome Year 6 students and their families to our annual Open Evening, with hundreds of prospective students and parents/carers joining us to discover what life at HWS has to offer.
The evening began with a warm welcome from our Headteachers, followed by talks from our students, who shared their experiences of school life and highlighted some of the opportunities and achievements that make HWS such a special place to learn.
Visitors then explored the school through self-guided tours, with our departments bringing learning to life through interactive activities, demonstrations and experiments. From exciting Science investigations to creative challenges and hands-on activities, there was plenty to see and do.
Our popular Treasure Hunt also returned, giving our younger visitors the chance to explore the school while tackling clues linked to our HWS values. Meanwhile, our canteen gave visitors a taste of what’s on the menu, serving up taster pots so prospective students could sample some of the delicious food they can expect to enjoy at lunchtimes.
With enthusiastic students and staff on hand throughout the evening, there was a real buzz across the school. A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the evening such a success, particularly our students and staff, whose enthusiasm and pride in their school shone through.
We were delighted to welcome so many families and hope they enjoyed discovering all that HWS has to offer.
