33 students from HWS have had their poems selected for publication in the official competition book of the national poetry competition, 'I Have a Dream'.  The overall winners are yet to be announced and the book of successful entries will be published in March 2026.

9JB held a brilliant bake sale at break on 12th December to fund the Year 9 Senior Tea Party we’re hosting in February. All proceeds will help us welcome senior citizens from Hinchley Wood for an afternoon of tea, treats and company. They raised an incredible £135.20! 🌟

Netball – Finals Day Beckons!

Fantastic news from the netball courts! The Year 7 team have had an incredible season. Despite never having played together before, the girls have gone undefeated, showing fantastic teamwork, resilience and rapid development as a unit.

A standout performance came against Three Rivers, where—remarkably in only their second time playing together—they secured a dominant 23–2 victory, highlighting just how quickly they have gelled as a team.

Special mentions must go to Millie R and Eve B-W for their consistently outstanding shooting throughout the season, and to Lotta T, whose strength in defence has been exceptional—very little gets past her!
