In the week beginning 22nd April, the HWS Student Sustainability Club (HWSSSC) led a range of activities to celebrate Earth Day and raise awareness of environmental issues. On Monday, students created sculptures using recyclable materials, followed on Tuesday by an upcycling session where plastic bottles were transformed into planters. Wednesday saw a poster competition focused on renewable energy, and on Thursday, students took part in a flora and fauna scavenger hunt, encouraging them to explore and appreciate the natural environment. In addition, the group organised a Fair Trade bake sale, raising £45 for the Save Surrey Nature charity. A fantastic effort by all involved in promoting sustainability across the school community.
